- a base coat. i used opi no chip base coat. this helps the polish stay on longer and helps prevent chipping.
- then you will need a color that matches the glitter you want to use. i am doing silver glitter so i used sally hanson complete salon manicure in the color pedal to the metal.
- then you need a clear nail polish. i used sally hansan strengthening top coat.
- lastly you will need a nail art glitter. you can buy them at sally's beauty supply stores and most beauty stores. i have the super nail brand and the color sterling silver.
here are the steps.
- apply your base coat and make sure it is completely dry.
- apply your nail polish color.you only need a thin coat since you won't really see it. it just helps the glitter to stand out more.
- take your top coat and apply it after the color has dried. now while the nail is still wet place in INTO the glitter and move it around making sure it cover the entire nail.
now you will most likely have glitter all over you finger so you can either use a cotton ball that has nail polish remover on it and wipe it off or use a makeup/fluffy paint brush and sweep it off.
- after you let the glitter sit for a minute put up to 2 layers of top coat on to help smooth out and seal the glitter on to your nails.

after the top coat is 100% dry you can wash your hands to make sure you have gotten all the excess glitter off and enjoy them!
